A: There is no easy way to do this from within AppXtender Web Access If you require this feature, you will need have the full "ApplicationXtender Document Manager" product installed on your computer. Q: I want to export my WebXtender query results to Microsoft Excel. How do I do this? A: There is no easy way to do this from within WebXtender. Q: I am a Macintosh user. What can I do to make sure that ApplicationXtender Web Access will work correctly for me? –A: While the vendor of ApplicationXtender Web Access has no formal support for browsers running on Macintosh OS, we have found that ApplicationXtender Web Access can be configured to work well for Mac users. The following tuning options are recommended for Macintosh computers: – * Mozilla Firefox (2.0 or later) is the recommended browser. The "Safari" 2.0 browser included with Mac OS X v10.4 is functional, but has several interface rendering problems which may make it difficult to use. – * The Interactive Viewer must be disabled as it cannot function on the Macintosh platform: – After logging in to ApplicationXtender Web Access, click the Clipboard Icon at the top of the window (this takes you to the "View/Modify User Settings" page). Find the "Interactive Viewer" tab, then de-select the "Enable Interactive Viewer" box. Now click "Save". – * Thumbnail View should be deactivated as its behavior is inconsistent on Macintosh clients: – Page Thumbnail require Java on the client, and Apple's Java runtime has several bugs when used with non-Safari browsers. To disable thumbnails, return to the "View/Modify User Settings" page, as detailed in the previous paragraph. Click the "Document View" tab. De-select the "Display page thumbnails" box, then click "save". If you must have page thumbnails, you can attempt to access ApplicationXtender Web Access using the "Safari" browser. If you have the most recent Java updates for Macintosh, page thumbnails may render successfully. However, you will have to accept other interface bugs as a compromise. How to navigate WebXtender on a Mac since no scrollbar is displayed. Use the up-down and left-right arrow keys to move around the page.
