Last Week: Questionnaires A great means of sharing your talents with other brethren for the cause of Christ. A possibly real eye-opening opportunity for self- evaluation.

The Christian’s life of repentance is a life that “bears fruit” worthy of the gospel.

A Life of Repentance The problem of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Matt. 3:7-10 They thought they could rely on “lineage” tied to Abraham as their means of salvation. Some today rely on what church they belong to as their ticket punched to heaven. Such is a dead/lazy life but a life worthy of repentance means “bearing fruit.” Jas. 2:26

What Kind of Fruit?

You Shall Know Them By Their Fruit A Christian’s life is not only not fruitless… it is fruitful. Such fruit is “of the Spirit” (of God). Galatians 5:22 LoveJoy Peace Patience KindnessGoodness FaithfulnessGentleness Self-Control

And, That’s Not All Adding to our Faith: more fruit (of the Spirit). 2 Peter 1:5-7 Moral excellenceKnowledge Self-controlPerseverance GodlinessBrotherly Kindness Love By living this “fruitful life” we are actually living a life of repentance: turning from the “works of the flesh”. Gal. 5:17-21

Increasing in These Fruitful Qualities We live like Jesus: our lifestyle shows to “abide” in Him. John 15:1-7 If we abide in Jesus we will bear much fruit. Matthew 13:23; John 15:5 We glorify God; and prove to be disciples of Jesus. John 15:8

Go, God Gives You Everything to be Fruitful. 2 Peter 1:2-4, 8 Doing So You Will Bear Fruits Worthy of Repentance
