Whose job is it to serve people with disabilities in the One-Stop Career Center? Well, I know it’s not my job! It’s everyone’s job. It’s the job of that person who has “disability” in their title.

While there are staff in the One-Stop who serve targeted populations, people with disabilities are represented in ALL populations (e.g. Veterans, Youth, Older Workers, Dislocated Workers, TANF, People with Criminal Background Histories, etc…). You must be thinking of the Disability Program Navigator (DPN)! While it is not the DPN’s job to meet with every customer with a disability that comes into the One-Stop, one of the roles of the DPN is to provide resources to staff in order to help identify additional programs and services the customer may benefit from, if needed.
