Business and Industry STEM Education Coalition Principles We encourage a systemic change to STEM education/literacy whereby all children, youth and adults are encouraged to be scientifically literate and to have opportunities to pursue careers within the STEM fields. We encourage volunteerism and community involvement as key elements to foster an increase in individuals pursuing STEM career paths. Recognizing the necessity for strategic partnerships and utilizing unique organizational strengths, collaborative partners shall include: professional societies, philanthropic and education organizations and STEM thought leaders.
