What can I do with a Digital Media degree?

Web Designer  Web Designers with HTML and multimedia skills - networking, HTML, Perl, CGI, Flash, JavaScript and Java skills in demand.  Web database skills very important  Lot of jobs are with small firms  Need to keep skills up to date  Starting salaries for Kent Multimedia graduates entering web design/development typically range from £18K to £22K, averaging about £20k.  Good area for self employment

Games Industry  Very competitive - passion for games required.  Check the job adverts in publications like Edge  Send speculative CVs.  A portfolio is a necessity

Games Industry 30,000 people employed in the UK games industry Games tester can be a good starting point Programmers – C++/Java Creatives: design (e.g. graphics, building models), game play, audio and content.

Animation Covers many different segments of the audio visual industries: TV, feature films, commercials, websites and computer games. There are about 2000 employees in UK.
