Basic competence  Merespon makna dan langkah retorika teks tulis esei secara akurat, lancar dan berterima dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari dan untuk mengakses ilmu pengetahuan dalam teks berbentuk: recount, narrative, dan procedure

Indicators  Students are able to identify the main information in the short story  Students are able to identify the characters in the short story  Students are able to identify the sequence of the event from the short story  Students are able to identify the message which can be found in the short story

Learning Activity a. Students learn in the language multimedia laboratory. Each student use an internet connected computer to learn English. b. Teacher greets students and gives orientation what they will learn today. c. Teacher asks students’ basic understanding about narrative text (brainstorming). d. Teacher explains the students about narrative text. e. Teacher asks the students to find an example of narrative text in stories/childrenindex.html

g.Teacher asks the student to download short story “Lift up High” h. Teacher asks the students to read the story they download. i. After the students read their story, then they have to summarize their story according to the questions given by teacher. They can download the worksheet in j. After they answer all questions, they have to submit their worksheet in k. Teacher gives the students home work to make their own short story and then submitted in l. Their short story will be corrected by the teacher and give it back to the students. After they revise their short story, they have to publish their story in their own blog.
