Option 1: Good, bad, or Ugly Okonkwo is an outstanding man to have in a tribe, but he is angry a lot of the time. He is the opposite of a lazy person though.

However, Okonkwo spends most of his life doing everything possible to become the antithesis of his father whom he considered an unproductive failure. Therefore, this “slothful”assertion is not a true representation of his overall character. In actuality, the desperate need to be the foil of his father leads to one of his true sins: greed.
