Animal Testing By Ashton Winklbauer

Paragraph 1 FDid you know that many cosmetic companies all over the world test their products on animals? Well over 3 million die from each cosmetic company per year. These unlucky animals are routinely cut open and poisoned by there products. They are put into steel cages while they are not being tested by their products. Some animals go blind due to the chemicals.

Paragraph 2 FThe companies claim they test the products on animals to establish the safety of their product. There are other ways to test products for safety. Animal testing is performed to test the level of skin irritancy, and eye tissue damage. They also say that animal testing makes sure that all the diseases in the product are gone.

Paragraph 3  Animal testing is inaccurate, most of the tests don ’ t even measure the health hazards of humans. They test to see how the animals react to their products even though the animals would die and they would know that. Many animals get chemicals dripped in their eyes. This is called the Draize Test or also known as the Eye Irritancy Test. There are also many other tests that they use on animals such as the Lethal Dose Test which is when the companies pump their product into the animals stomach to find how much the animal can take before it dies.

Paragraph 4 FI believe that there shouldn’t be any animal testing on cosmetics. The cosmetics are killing over 3 million animals per company. These animals should not be treated like this. They should have the rights to live freely and not to be locked up in cages. There are many ways you can help save these animals. So instead of wasting your time doing nothing you can save an animal, which would make a big change.
