What is it? The solar system has planets, the moon and other objects moving around the sun Earth is one of 8 planets orbiting the sun One of the 8 planets is Mars.

The sun The sun is a star in the center of the univurse. The size creates gravity, that's what keeps the planets orbiting the sun. Without it planets would be beyond space.

The planets There are eight planets in the hole solar system. Venus and Mercury are the closest Planets to the sun. Earth and Mars come next.
