The internet is expanding at a rapid pace and new technologies like social media are changing how we live (LaRocco, 2010). Social media changes how we get information. Traditional ways of advertising (print, radio, TV) are losing out to the internet and sociacl media (LaRocco, 2010).
Number one way they make money (Protalinski, 2012). Companies can reach millions of people at once for a cost- effective price. Niche-marketing (LaRocco, 2010) Promotional ads introduced to new timeline feature (Cox, 2011). Three types of ads-Banner, news feed, and business pages (Kabani, 2012)
It is almost impossible to escape ads Niche-advertising allows people to see ads for their interests (LaRocco, 2010). Didn’t like ads when Facebook first started them It is weird to see ads that are specific to the interests I have on page
Facebook is changing how we see ads Companies can reach millions of people at once and we are seeing more and more ads It will be interesting to see what the next trend in Facebook ads is going to be
