 Western New York’s premier health club  Founded by Rick Rugg and Bob Schiffhauer in October, 1980  Has grown all throughout Buffalo and expanded to Rochester, creating the Rochester Athletic Club (RAC)  Since 1980, they have used a paper-based format in order to keep track of their operations Background

 Three-quarters of its functions are in a paper based format  Mostly a “he-says-she-says” based system  No set operations or even a standardized database for the BAC’s  Many papers are misplaced  Not filled out correctly  Unable to read an employee or customer’s writing  No proper place to file papers  Not having access to papers that are needed Business Problems
