Dental Brigades Volunteers will spend 3 days in a community in order to optimize the amount of time patients are able to spend with the physicians and dentists. Each patient will receive a physician consultation and public health workshop as well as have access to restorative dental care, PAP smears, and prostate exams. All children will receive vitamins necessary for proper growth and development, teeth cleaning, and fluoride treatment. Volunteers will have the opportunity to take patient vitals, obtain patient history and current symptoms, shadow and assist licensed medical and dental health care professionals, participate in a kid’s educational dental hygiene workshop, and fill prescriptions under a licensed pharmacists.
