Setting mic gain Want to set mic gain so that the digital signal is: Not too low (poor signal to noise) Not too high (distorted) Mic level is set within TRC-Ops

New! for Windows 7 In Windows 7, there is extra mic gain setting Found in control panel Setting of "10" seems to work: use TRC-Ops for fine control.

Radio output levels With the mic gain set in TRC-Ops, use the gain control in the TRip unit to control output level: audio set speaker {gain} Use test set to measure actual output.

Receive audio levels Use TRip gain to match radio output: audio set mic {gain} Can test the actual level of digital audio using Wireshark/audacity/etc...
