Ustroń Design monitoring systems based on XBMS Presents: M.Sc. Adam Jakubowski Web-based Open Building Management System

Reasons to design monitoring based on XBMS:  The comprehensive (includes the widest range of subsystems).  An easy way to design different types of monitoring systems.  Fully web-based and real-time system.  Supports a wide range of open communication standards.  Possibility of integration various manufacturers devices.  Full support for XBMS development (specialized appliactions & drivers)  Support for users & groups rights for access to the system.  Multimedia visualization interfaces in Adobe Flash technology.  Easier and faster installation and commissioning BMS.  Easier and cheaper diagnostics and service management system.  Technical support services and maintenance of the system.  Safe-class UNIX operating system.

Building Management System Security Management System Conference Room Systems XBMS  Lighting  Power  Solar power plants  Photovoltaic power plants  Substations  Water technology  HVAC  Measurements of media consumption  VoIP doorphones  Fire alarm centrals  Early smoke detectors  Intruder detection systems  Access control systems  Adjustable lighting  Blinds & screens  Audio/Video matrix  Projectors  Sound Comprehensive integration concept

 Desktop computers  Touch panels  Tablets & smartphones  Mobile phones Workstations:

 Client-Server Technology (client presents the data received from the server)  Access to the system only by web browsers based on individual privilages  Multimedia user interface in Adobe Flash  Presentation of the event and the physical values in real-time  Support user rights to visualization scenes and objects in the scene  VDL - library of ready to use visualization objects Web-based user interface:

SIP (VoIP) OPC SNMP DMX  Online real-time information system, which supports open communication standards Supported open network protocols  Full support for XBMS project development (device and network drivers and others with their own documented protocol).  The ability to create specialized applications, based on the data stored in the SQL database  Technical support services and maintenance of the system

Direct integration (small objects):

Integration based on the Ethernet LAN:

Integration based on the Ethernet LAN diagram:

Mixed integration:

Global integration (public or separated APN):

Customizable universal signal boxes: Universal signal box’es as XBMS supplement  to monitor digital and analog signals  monitoring and control systems (eg solar power plants) Reason to design universal signal box’es  The designer does not need to know the automation details.  Defines only the number of signals and their type, selected sensors.  Digital and analog signals should be reduced to a switchboard  Subsequently the signals is sufficient to bring to an Ethernet network.  Block diagram of the BMS becomes simpler.  For more complex functions sufficient to describe the algorithm

Universal signal box’es on BMS diagram:

Examples of typical XBMS installations: Central BMS, SMS and CRS in objects of different types (office buildings, hotels, apartment buildings, shopping centers, etc.)  Data Processing Centres (known as server rooms)  Automation of an apartment or hotel room  Water Parks or Aquaparks  Hospitals (metering media)  Global Monitoring for distributed objects  Monitoring Specialist (eg linear temperature measurement)  Museums and monuments  Conference rooms

Division of monitoring for BMS, SMS and the CRS

The monitoring system in the data center :  Precision cooling  Emergency Power System  Power analyzers  Measurements of temperature and humidity  UPS  Fire Alarm System  Early warning smoke detectors  Intruder Alarm System  Access Control System  VoIP doorphones

Apartment or hotel room automation:  HVAC  Reed doors and windows  Multiroom zone  Heating  Measurement of temperature and humidity.  Touch panels  Biometric access control.  LED Lighting  Sunblinds

Water Park Monitoring System:  Ventilation  Water Technology  The heating substation  Lighting  Photovoltaic Power Plant  Solar Power Plant

Monitoring system in hospital:  Ventilation  Glycol energy measurement  Electricity consumption.  Technical steam consumption  Water consumption  Gas consumption  Photovoltaic Power Plant  Solar Power Plant

Example of SMS system:  Intruder Detection System  Fire Detection System  Early warning smoke detect.  Automatic extinguish  Gas detection system  Personnel Identity  Audible Warning System
