Exercise: Your Ideal Scene for Your Soul-Centered, Six-Figure Practice The purpose of this exercise is to connect you with your intentions, purpose and goals for your practice, by creating an ideal scene for your practice. Ideal scene intentions work best when they: Are stated in the present (“I am happy” rather than “I want to be happy.”) Use only positive language (“I am happy” rather than “I am not unhappy.”) Are at least 50% believable (“I am making a difference” rather than “I am healing all disease and poverty in the world.”) Focus on “what” rather than “how” (“I am experiencing peace and joy” rather than “I am happy because I got that stupid dog to shut up.”) Include emotionally energizing words (“I am joyfully and gracefully receiving $100,000 a year” rather than “I’m getting $100,000 a year”) They can be as general or as specific as you want them to be. Often times it works best to include a mix of both. On the following page, brainstorm a list of ideal scene intentions for your practice. Draw each one as a line coming out from the heart, and then fill in the intention next to it. There is an example ideal scene, as well as two templates to choose from. Here are some sample questions, to get you thinking. Please feel free to use your answers to these questions as intentions What do you want your practice to feel like? What purpose is it serving? How much are you making? What is your environment like? How many clients do you want? What types of clients do you want? What is their experience? Core Coaching Getting To The Heart Of The Matter
