The objective of the Festival is to promote innovative activity in Ukraine, to stimulate young scholars, scientific and business community to participate in technology transfer, to develop cooperation between researchers, business community and authorities in order to ensure innovative development of the national economy and society and to enhance its integration into European and World high-tech space.

The Festival encourages participation of : Students Post graduate students Resear- chers Staff of higher education and research institutions High tech companies and enterprises Participants submit their independently prepared business- oriented projects that are innovative in nature, with scientific and practical value, which can be introduced into production and used in business with an appropriate economic or social effect. Business-oriented projects submitted to the Festival must have scientific, practical and business nature (discovery, invention, utility model, aimed at business use). The project can be executed individually or by team.

In 2012, the Festival is held from May 20 to December 12 in three steps: Step 1.Submission of projects Step 2.Preliminary selection Step 3. The Final

 Festival participants submit their projects to International Jury (hereinafter – Jury) consideration, filling in the appropriate form on portal from May 20, 2012 to November 12, 2012 (All together 106 projects)

Between November 12, 2012 and December 1, projects were being selected by the Jury that would get into the final of the Festival. Jury takes its decision by open vote to determine the best projects. After finalists' selection the information about them is spread in information networks and posted on the website of the Festival

- form and structure of the proposal - availability of the team to implement the idea - presence of the project business plan (or, at least, the conducted marketing research) - 90% readiness of the project for commercial implementation - presence of cases in Russian/Ukrainian and English languages - understanding of market demands and possibilities for business development - clear understanding of startup business-model - Justified amount of money for the investment

 Finalists present their works  Winners are selected  Prizes and certificates are awarded The Final round will be held on December 12, 2012 in the Academic Council Hall of the NTUU "KPI" (Kyiv, Peremohy ave., 37, building 1). Each of the selected teams will make 10 minutes (7 minutes – presentation, 3 minutes – questions and answers) presentation of their project to International Festival Jury.

 Festival finalists will get an opportunity to participate in master classes, business training programs for entrepreneurs at «STCU – NTUU "KPI"» to acquire skills to present projects to potential investors.

 The main prize is founded by Independent Association of the Banks of Ukraine for three best projects in terms of possibility of creation on their basis the real startups. The prize is the "credit line" which will be used for development of these startups within the Science Park "Kyivska Polytechnika".  There are also established the prizes of Leonid Kuchma's Presidential Foundation "Ukraine" and prizes of the European Commission which will be awarded to projects on the basis of criteria systems of these organizations.
