It can be a hardcover book, which means it has a thick and stiff cover.  A softcover is called a paperback book cover. This cover can be really thin and tears easily. The cover usually has the Title of the book and the person's name who wrote the book.

This is the Table of Contents.                                                                                                                                  This is the Table of Contents. The main part of the book written by the author is called the Text. This text is divided into different sections called chapters. The Table of Contents page lists the chapters with their page numbers.  Listing the chapters makes finding information or subjects easier.
