 We see advertisements each day in magazines, newspapers, on billboards and television.  75% of normal women think they are overweight  90% of women overestimate their body size  41% of men are dissatisfied with their weight

 Myth #1: You have to be underweight to have an eating disorder.  Myth #2: Only teenage girls and young women are affected by eating disorders.  Myth #3: People with eating disorders are vain.  Myth #4: Eating disorders aren’t really that dangerous.

 Self-starvation/Intense Weight Loss

 Obsessive fasting/dieting  Irrational fear of fat  Disgust with body size  Excessive Exercise  Withdrawn from family/friends  Weighs themselves repeatedly  Depressed
