Speakers from CareerLink and the Society of Human Resource Managers introduced students to the local labor market and the skills employers are looking for.

We enjoyed a buffet lunch in the tower

Dr. Feigley introduced students to the vast number of occupations, and the process of narrowing down choices. Students learned how jobs can be categorized in several ways, including career clusters.

Wednesday Freedom H.S. and Business Tours “Career Resources & Exploration”

Mrs. Strockyj led the students in exploring careers online, relating careers of interest to course selection. Students created an online career portfolio that they can update from any computer.

Thursday Freedom H.S. Lincoln Technical Institute Entering the Workforce Part I

Mrs. Jordan guided students through the process of creating a resume. Students also learned how to complete job applications.

Members of the Society of Human Resource Managers taught students about interviewing, and provided mock interviews with small groups, guiding them through the process.
