Virus Virus- a destructive computer program that is transmitted from computer to computer over the internet,or from a computer or other devices to the internet, often through attachments. Sometimes these programs damage files, or even destroy data and programs, when they are activated. You can protect your computer by installing virus protection, never opening attachments or shared files that look suspicious even when they come from someone you know, and checking the web at least once a week for updates for your virus protection software.
