Why are we doing this?  Fiscal responsibility.  Environmental responsibility.  Reducing paper consumption.  Efficiency.  Limiting missed work time in the office while traveling.  Increased productivity, both at the state and the local district.

How can we help you?  Provide training services via the internet (Recorded Training Programs).  Provide training services via the internet (Streaming Video in real time).  Provide on-line meeting forums for people (Computer Screen and Audio).  Establishing face to face meetings online via Skype® video calling.  Store critical safety and training records on-line. (Being considered for future implementation)

What is it going to cost you? Well, maybe a webcam…

What do you need to make it work?  Computer with Internet connection.  High Quality Web Camera (Optional for Skype® video telephone capability).  Speakerphone, with the ability to make long distance calls.  A quiet place to conduct business.  LCD Projector (Optional) for projection to larger groups of people.

Using Skype® 4. When the security warning dialog box opens, click on “save” and save it to your desktop.

Using Skype® 5. Click on the “Skype Setup” Icon and follow the on-screen prompts to install Skype®.

Using Skype® 6. Once Skype® has been installed and a “name” selected, please send the information via to 7. Please select a “Skype® Name” using the following format(s): Personal name on an individual computer: County.First.Last (ie: wakulla.pat.jones) Agency.First.Last (ie: doe.kay.kanupp) Conference Room or Shared computer: County.”Meeting” (ie: nassau.meeting)

GoTo Webinar & GoTo Meeting®  DOE staff will have the ability to schedule and initiate all requested meetings from any computer in our office.  A dedicated computer is installed in our conference room.

GoTo Webinar & GoTo Meeting®  Send to indicating date, time, number of attendees and the expected length of the meeting to avoid conflicts with other scheduled meetings.  DOE will set up the meeting and forward the confirmation and instructions back to you to forward to your attendees. This should be done within a few minuets.  DOE will initiate the meeting and once you log on will turn the meeting over to you (as the presenter).  Stop the meeting when you are finished by clicking on “End Meeting”.  DOE staff will be available via phone to assist at anytime during the meeting.  DOE will not monitor the progress or content of the meeting, unless it is a scheduled DOE meeting or a DOE staff member is invited to attend by the district.
