Backing up data By Alicia stewart
WHAT IS BACKUP? If you delete a file by accident, your computer breaks or is stole you’ve lost everything on your computer/laptop, everything has gone, right? Wrong. If you back up your files everything is safe and sound, you can get all of your work back and continue from where you left off in stead of starting all over again!
Why is it important? It is important to back up your computer because if you own a business or work for a business you could lose everything to do with it, all of your paper work could be lost, all of the records and pay checks of the people who work for you could be gone as well. If you’re a student doing your A levels, it is really, really important to back up your computer so you don’t loose all of your hard work and fail your A levels. You could also loose all of your photos and music, everything that is important to you.

Backing up personal data Backing up using outlook/onedrive I have chosen one drive to back up my files. I clicked on One drive and upload, it brought my files up and I clicked On the one I wanted to upload, I can now access it From my email if anything happens to my files, it is now Backed up on the cloud.
How school backs up my data School backs up my data by the computers being on a network, meaning if the computer I am working on right now breaks, I can log on to a different computer and all of my files and work will be on that computer. The work is then saved on the central severs system that is backed up everyday so if I do anything new on the computer it will be saved too.
