Implementing drug tests for high school athletes would be a good way to reduce the risk of long term problems and would also ensure that all athletes are playing a safe and fair game.

Steroid usage and the use of PED’s have way too many negative side effects for a young high school student (or anybody) to be using. Drug testing high school athletes would keep the sports fair and could change the habits of athletes throughout all different levels of sports. Promoting fairness and health is a better way for athletes to inspire rather than taking steroids and coming out about using them years later.

Many people today believe that the way sports from the high school level to the professional level is rapidly changing into nothing but fame and fortune and that drug testing high school athletes will only bring on much Unwanted attention. Every year in the NFL hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent on random steroid tests and the average number of positive tests back are in the single digits. Many high schools may not have the money within their budget to drug test high school students.

Implementing a drug test for high school athletes would be a good way to ensure that they won't fall under the very real pressure of the use of PED's in sports as well as helping a generation of athletes grow as fair players and help sports become more fair and ethical by starting at a young age.
