The Fault In Our Stars Book Showcase By: Ashley Larsen

About the Book The Fault In Our Stars is a realistic fiction story written by John Green. The main characters in this story are Hazel and Augustus. Most of this story takes place in Indianapolis.

Main Event #1 A main event in this story was when Hazel and Augustus met at a cancer support group. This was important because Hazel has lung cancer, so she did not like to do anything, but being with Augustus gave her a reason to get out of bed.

Main Event #2 Another important event in this story is when Augustus agrees to read Hazel’s favorite book, Peter Van Houten’s An Imperial Affliction. This is important because the book ends in the middle of a sentence, so it got Augustus, along with Hazel, attached to the book and finding out the mysteries of the book.

Main Event #3 The third important event is when Augustus s Peter Van Houten. This is super important because it was like a second chance, since Hazel had ed him many times and never gotten a response.

Main Point #4 Also, a main event in this story was when Peter Van Houten’s manager responded to Augustus and Hazel’s . This was extremely important because the they received back was an invitation to come meet Van Houten in Amsterdam to talk about the story, An Imperial Affliction, and its ending.

Main Event #5 Another important even in this story is when Augustus decides to use his wish. Hazel and Augustus were not going to pass up the opportunity to visit Van Houten in Amsterdam, but they didn’t know how they were get there. Augustus remembers that he had saved his wish from the Make a Wish foundation and he thought this was the perfect time to use it.

Main Event #6 The sixth important even in the story is when Hazel, her mom, and Augustus fly to Amsterdam. Van Houten’s manager bought Hazel and Augustus a fancy dinner when they arrived, so they had a great first impression of him.

Main Event #7 Another main event in the story is when Hazel and Augustus finally get to meet Peter Van Houten. This was an extremely important event in the story. As it turns out, Van Houten had no intention of actually meeting them and telling them what happens in the story. Hazel continued to ask questions about the ending of the book, but Van Houten only responded with mean comments or nothing at all. Disgusted by Van Houten’s rudeness, Hazel and Augustus left Van Houten’s house.

Main Event #8 When Augustus spilled the news was another important event. Augustus told Hazel that his cancer was back, getting worse and worse every day. He also tells her that his doctor said he doesn’t have much time left to live. Hazel was devastated.

Main Event #9 Another important event in this story is when Augustus dies from cancer. Hazel is very depressed. Peter Van Houten attended Augustus’s funeral. This offended Hazel. Van Houten claims that Augustus had sent him a letter to come to his funeral before he had died, but Hazel continues to push him away.

Main Event #10 A final important event in The Fault in Our Stars is when Hazel reads the letter. Isaac had told Hazel that Augustus said that he was writing something a few weeks before he died. Hazel searched everywhere to find it, but had no luck. Finally, Hazel realized, that was the letter Augustus had sent Van Houten. The letter read…
