Why the European union? Jofre Cabrera, Marc Conde, Xiao Bin, ArnauTharrats

Peace Before, the idea of ​​the European union was an unthinkable idea for the large part of the inhabitants thereof. But because of the two world wars that arose during the first half of the twentieth century, European nations were willing to join forces and put aside all rivalry. Uniting what they used materials for creating weapons in the war, as was the coal and steel.

Unification of Europe After the creation of the European union and the fall of the Berlin Wall helped the unification of Germany. In 1991 the Soviet Union collapsed and the countries that submitted were finally could be free to choose their future. And so countries began to join the European union.

Security The European union has to work to support countries having across their borders safe. The interior and exterior security are united in one concept. To combat terrorism and organized gangs, all European countries unoin l have to work very closely.

Economic and social solidarity European countries account for an ever smaller percentage of the world population. They must therefore continue pulling together if they want to maintain economic growth and compete on the world stage with other major economies. No country in the EU is this major European competition space must also be balanced with solidarity at European level and benefit from the European peoples.
