Renewable vs. Non-renewable Renewable energy sources can be replenished in a short period of time. The five renewable sources used most often are: Solar, Wind, Biomass, hydropower and geothermal. Non-renewable energy sources can not be replenished (made again) in a short period of time. Examples are coal, oil (petroleum) and natural gas (methane)=(Fossil Fuels)
