Herlev is situated 10 km west of Copenhagen. It is the third smallest municipality in Denmark and covers an area of 12 square km people live in Herlev.

Hjulmandens hus Hjulmandens hus is located at Herlev bygade by the pond in Herlev. The house was built in Today it is used as a meeting place for old age pensioners.

Herlev station Herlev station is a station on the Frekerikssund radial of S- train in Copenhagen. There is one platform and two tracks. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Copenhagen. Herlev station opened in 1949.

Herlev hospital Herlev hospital is the landmark of Herlev. The building is 120m tall, and it has 28 flors. It is famous for being Denmark’s tallest building and the 6 th tallest hospital in the world.

Herlev Byskole Herlev Byskole is the name of our school. We have two locations, one with students from class 0-6 and the other from class 0-9. It used to be two schools but since 2011 they were joint as Herlev Byskole. There are around 700 pupils and 75 teachers.

Herlev stadium All the schools in Herlev use the stadium to do athletics. We can practise high jump, running, discos etc. Once a year all the schools in Herlev have a common sports events at the stadium and we compete in many different kinds of sport.

Herlev skating rink In herlev skating rink you can play icehockey and do figure skating in your spare time. The local ice hockey club HERLEV EAGLES plays in the best league. In 1984 Herlev Eagles won the Danish championchip.

Herlev city center In Herlev city center there are shops both inside and outside. There is a huge supermarket, called Føtex and 35 specialty shops in the center, and they have free wifi.

Herløv kro/inn Herløv Inn is a hotel and a restaurant. Herløv Inn is more than 300 years old. Busines people often stay at the hotel since it is only 10 km away from Copenhagen. Last time your teachers visited Herlev Byskole they stayed at Herløv Inn.

Herlev library Herlev library is the biggest library in Town. There are many diffrent kinds of activities in Herlev library. Fx You can have an introduction on how you use computers and ipads. You can attend talks on different topics and visit a number of exhibitions arranged at the library.

Herlev Town hall Herlev Town hall is where all the important decisions are made. It is only 500 meters from the school. In Herlev Town hall our mayor works. He is a social democrat and his children go to school at Herlev Byskole.

Herlev church is 538 years old. Inside there are beautiful paintings in the ceiling. One of the traditions in Herlev is that every Christmas, there is a huge Christmas tree outside the church. Herlev church

Herlev Theater/cinema Herlev Theatre is 90 years old. It is a small Cinema so whenever we want to Watch a movie we go to Copenhagen.
