Let’s build a snowman!!

Vocab Words: Snow Man Snowflake Card Snow Christmas Tree

Phrases: Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Happy New Year!

Project: Students will make holiday cards and snowflakes

Supplies: Colored Paper or Card Stock Glue stick or liquid Glue Scissors Cotton Balls Markers or Colored Pencils

Step 1 Fold long paper in half to make a card.

Step 2 On fold side, cut 6 long lines into paper.

Step 4 Open Card and fold creases to make card pop-up or stand.

Step 5 Make Decorations, at least 3!

Step 6 Glue Decorations to Blue pop out pieces

Step 7 Add decorations to background too!

Write a message! Finished.

Step 1 Fold long paper in half and draw a snowman shape on the front.

Step 2 Cut around snow man shape, but leave an inch on fold side, to make a card. On the folded side, leave 1” of paper uncut, to create a hinge for card.

Step 3 Make snowman face and cut cotton balls in half.

Step 4 Glue pieces on paper.

Write a special note inside!

Step 1 Fold two pieces of the same size paper together, set one aside.

Step 2 Fold long paper in half and draw 1-3 Christmas trees on the outside, folded side. Draw trees on folded edge, ½”- 1” from the bottom of fold. Only cut where the black lines are. DON’T CUT ALL THE WAY THROUGH!

Step 3 Cut out the trees, cutting through both sides of the paper. DO NOT cut tree completely out, leave bottom of tree trunk un cut on folded edge.

Step 4 Unfold Paper and lay flat. Make the two tree halves meet and glue together.

Step 5 Glue underside of cut-out paper and place on the new sheet of paper.

Decorate your card and write a greeting!

Step 1 Fold a long piece of paper in half.

Step 2 Fold paper again.

Step 3 Fold one side of the paper towards the folded edge, it will make a triangle shape.

Step 4 Flip paper over and fold the remaining paper towards the folded edge, when finished it will make a triangle.

Step 5 Draw a curved line at the top of the triangle. Use this to cut, in order to make a circle shape.

Step 6 Draw any design, cut it out! Make sure that each side connects to a folded edge.

Step 7 Carefully unfold snowflake!

Repeat to make as many snowflakes as you like!
