Billy Haley and the Comets Billy Haley and the Comets sang rock and roll music also they would mix country music, western swing, rhythm, and blues to produce some of rock and rolls earliest hits. BILLY HALEY AND THE COMETS There top 5 successful albums during the 50s were “Rock around the Clock", "Shake Rattle & Roll”, “See You Later Alligator", "Mambo Rock”, and “Rip it Up”. Rock around the clock was featured in the smash teen movie “Blackboard Jungle”.

Jerry was ranked 5 th on the top hit number charts with his song” A Whole lot of Shakin Going On”. He is also the last surviving member of the Sun Record’s Million Dollar Quartet and also of the class of ’55 album, which included Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, and Elvis Presley.
