Are proud to announce a new Cashless Catering System From Monday 3 rd November 2014
How will Cashless Catering Work? From 3 rd November 2014 cash will no longer be accepted at the till points in the Dining Room at break or lunchtime. An individual catering account has been created for you. Your parents/guardians have been asked to make payments via our new on-line payment system called ParentPay or via a PayPoint card (if requested). You will also be able to top up account and check your balance via Revaluation Units that are based in the Dining Room and outside the Finance Office.
How will Cashless Catering Work? There are 2 ways to access your account:- Biometric thumb scan – this took place on 22 nd & 23 rd Sept PIN Number – these will be handed out to those pupils who did not participate in the Biometric scan on 3 rd November There is a daily spend limit of £5. If you are entitled to Free School Meals your account will automatically be updated on a daily basis with £2.50, the value of a meal. You will be unable to use this credit at breaktime. Your parents have been made aware of this. You will no longer need to queue for a token.
What the Catering Staff Will See
How to Use When you have purchased your items from the canteen and arrive at the till to pay, place your registered thumb on the reader like the below diagrams (Flat on and to the top of the plastic, as shown below). The scanner will not recognise your print if you press on too hard. The operator will tell you if more pressure is required. When your thumb is place on the reader this will bring up your account on the cashless system and deduct any funds required for the purchases.
