SNOMED CT to ICD-10-CM Mappping Feb. 2012: From 7,277 concepts (CORE subset + others) with I-MAGIC demo tool Apr. 2012: Implementation Guide for I- MAGIC June 2012: From ~15,000 concepts Purpose: Ongoing use in systems that assist providers or professional coders

ICD-9-CM to SNOMED CT Mapping May 2012: From 8,334 codes (~90% of use based on 2009 CMS data) Purpose: Aid for one-time transition to use of SNOMED CT in problem list 4

Upcoming SNOMED CT Expansion - Devices 4/ IHTSDO and Global Medical Device Nomenclature (GMDN) Agency sign agreement GMDN to form basis of expanded medical device component of SNOMED CT Initial content (not fully modeled) to be released initially in an extension to SNOMED CT in 8/2012 Active GMDN concepts, excluding in vitro diagnostics
