The Rotary Snowplow - A Canadian Invention !

WHO? Dr. J.W. Elliott, a Toronto dentist, designed the first rotary snowplough. Orange Jull, another Canadian, improved Elliott’s design.

WHEN? The first rotary snowplough was designed in The second model was produced between 1890 and 1892.

WHERE? Canada The rotary was invented it in Toronto, Ontario.

WHY? There have too much snow. In winter, people should to clean snow by their hands, they’re too tired. Many people died in cleaning up the snow.

HOW? The first rail plough was invented by steel In 1869, a man called Elliot designed the first rotary snowplough Orange Jull improved Elliott’s design later, it contained several pivoting steel plates, it’s wheel in either direction at up to 400 rpm. It’s speed can up to 16 kmh
