Understand the Features of Induction and Dielectric Heating LEACTURE -09

IMPORTANT TOPICS 1.State the Theory of Induction and Dielectric Heating 2.Application of Induction and Dielectric Heating

Induction Heater System ACQUIP Rentals offers the EDDYTHERM, a high- quality induction heater system, designed for demanding industrial applications. Our EDDYTHERM system can heat and radially expand gears, rings, couplings, bearings and other components. Induction heating is a superior, fast and controlled heating method. The EDDYTHERM surpasses environmentally friendly ovens, oil baths and blowtorches.

Induction heating is the process of heating an electrically conducting object (usually a metal) by electromagnetic induction, through heat generated in the object by eddy currents (also called Foucault currents). An induction heater consists of an electromagnet, and an electronic oscillator which passes a high- frequency alternating current (AC) through the electromagnet.heatingmetalelectromagnetic inductioneddy currentselectromagnetelectronic oscillatoralternating current

The Principles of Induction Heating

To heat that material which can not conduct electrical current, in this process heat is produce in non conducting materials internally. This type of heating require the frequencies above 1 MHz to 50 MHz, the current can not flow through these materials, high voltage is applied across the materials by placing it between several parallel conducting plates(electrodes). When the output leads of the high power oscillator are connected to the feeders of these electrodes, the work material is stressed by the high voltage, alternating field, the very rapid reversal of this high field destroy the molecular structure, due to which the molecular fraction is more which produce heat in side the material uniformly through out the material.

Dielectric Heating Dielectric Heating

Dielectric Heating Since 1947, Richardson Electronics has been supplying power grid tubes to the induction and dielectric heating industries. Our commitment to these industries is second to none. Not only do we supply the components you need from leading manufacturers, we also make technical expertise available when you need it, including retrofitting existing generators to accept new, more efficient tubes. When you need a replacement tube for an RF generator or amplifier, contact your local Richardson Electronics contact your local Richardson Electronics
