Art Nouveau Art Nouveau was design style, popular in Europe between It originated in England, but was closely associated with France. Famous Art Nouveau designers included Rene Lalique, Emile Galle, Victor Horta etc. The style featured in the work of designers of furnishings, textiles, Jewellery, and advertising posters. Whiplash lines, plants and trailing tendrils, flowers, female figures, insects, dragonflies etc all influenced the Art Nouveau style.
