How to submit an exchange to the World of Friends Catalog Contact your FFI program coordinator.program coordinator Complete the catalog submission form (click here to download).click here to download Submit your form to your program coordinator by the 1 st of the month.

TIPS: World of Friends catalog Best time to list your exchange on the catalog: 5+ months in advance. If the dates and costs are set, it’s not too early! Get details of your exchange from your host ED. Make it fun! Show why your exchange is special.

ED Invitations Primarily for global exchanges A personal letter from you, the ED, sent as an to FFI’s full distribution list The exchange MUST be listed on the catalog first. Best for finding 10 or more ambassadors Only two ED invitations can be sent each month.

How to apply for an ED Invitation List your exchange on the catalog as a first step. Contact your program coordinator 5+ months before your exchange to get approved for an ED invitation. Write your invitation letter, using the ED Invitation checklist (click here to download).click here to download Send your invitation letter as a Word document (text only) to your program coordinator. Send pictures from previous exchanges separately, if you have them.

TIPS: ED Invitation If you are planning a global exchange, you should expect to need an ED Invitation to fill it. List your exchange on the World of Friends catalog as early as possible, and tell your program coordinator you’d like to send an ED invitation as well. Your program coordinator will tell you when your invitation can be sent and give you a deadline to submit your letter. Make sure you have the necessary details in order. When your ED invitation is sent, be prepared to receive a lot of inquiries in the days immediately following.

Exchange Interest Survey Find Friendship Force members who are interested in visiting: - The region of your exchange - At the time of year your exchange takes place Best for finding 3 or fewer ambassadors.

The exchange interest survey can be found on the monthly World of Friends catalog alerts.

How to Use Contact your program coordinator. Receive a list of interested members and them. You will be ing many people at once. Respect their privacy by putting their addresses ONLY in the blind-copy (bcc) field. Put your own address in the “To” field.

TIPS: Exchange Interest Survey Make your to potential ambassadors clear, personal and fun. Include the following statement, or something similar: “I’m writing to you because you have expressed an interest in traveling to ____ on FFI’s surveys.” Be prepared to receive inquiries from people who are not current club members. Don’t wait until the last minute. Few people will travel internationally on short notice. Also, some may have to apply for visas.
