 Separating employee clears out on the last day of employment  Problems associated with the old process include: ◦ no advance notice for key departments ◦ Not all departments aware of separation ◦ No verification of signatures on out-processing checklist ◦ Inadequate key control process ◦ No mechanism to recover outstanding fees or university property ◦ Inconsistent termination of all accounts ◦ Outdated separation forms

 Separating employee required to walk a form to 5 locations to obtain signatures  At least 3 more departments wanted to be added

 Launched on Friday, January 30, 2009  Improve method of collecting University property, securing network accounts, and resolving any financial obligations  Notify all key stakeholders (SNG) – 15 depts.

 HR website – Forms  SNG will respond by (clear or not)  Using the Separation Processing Checklist - indicate if cleared or N/A.  If outstanding issues - notify employee

 Once cleared, forward checklist & the separation form to HR  Unless there are any outstanding obligations, employee goes to one place – HR
