Cupid (God of Love) Mother: Venus (Goddess of Beauty) (Also referred to as Aphrodite in Greek Mythology) Father: Mars (God of War) Spouse: Psyche Siblings: Anteros (God of requited love) Children: Voluptas (Goddess of Pleasure) Symbol: Bow, Arrow, Heart, etc. Powers: Can make anyone fall in love with the first person they see with just a strike with an arrow to the heart. Weaknesses: Often careless on how he shoots his arrows, Venus then punishes him.

Description: God of Love; Makes people fall in love with others instantly. Important Events: Oracle of Apollo, Psyche’s unfaithfulness, Cupid finding Psyche. Allusions: Being a matchmaker.

Children: Cupid, Phobos, Deimos, Harmonia, Himeros, Anteros, Pothos, Peitho, Hermaphroditus, Eunomia & Tyche, Rhodos, Priapus, Hymenaeus, Rhode, Herphroditus, Beroe, Aenaes, Lyros, and Eryx. Symbol: Scallop shell, Dolphins, Doves, Lovebirds. Powers: She can make any man fall in-love with her at first sight. Weaknesses: Vanity, jealousy, affairs with other men.

Description: A beautiful woman who married her half-brother Hephaestus has the power to make any man fall in-love with her at first sight. Important Events: Hephaestus caught her and Ares in an unbreakable golden net and had all of the Gods to laugh at them, and during the Trojan War she was injured by Diomedes (A mortal). Allusions: Her symbol being a dove she can be tied to “Dove Soap” because it is suppose to make you appear more beautiful.

The Graces Mother: Eurynome Father: Zeus (King of Gods) Spouse: Angaela- Abas (Son of Lynceus) (Rest were not identified) Siblings: Thalia, Agaela, and Euphroyne (All sisters) Children: Agaela had children with 2 Gods. 2 children from Abas were Acrisuis (King of Argos) and Proetus (King of Argos & Tiryns). 2 other children she had were with Amythaon, and they were Melapus and Bias. Symbol: Flower which represents beauty.

Powers: Spreading joy to others. Weaknesses: They were sometimes vindictive. Description: 3 sisters all with stunning beauty were children of Eurynome and Zeus. They always drew the eyes of men everywhere. Important Events: *None that included all 3 sisters. Allusions: A 19th century neoclassical sculpture by Antonio Canova.

Hephaestus (God of Metalworking and Stone Masonry) Mother: Hera Father: Zeus Spouse: Aphrodite (Half-sister) Siblings: Ares, Eileithyia, Enyo, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite, Dionysus, Hebe, Hermes, Hercules, Helen of Troy, Perseus, and Minos. Children: Thalia, Eucleia, Eupheme, Philophrosyne, Cabeiri, and Euthenia. Symbol: Hammer, Anvil, and Tongs. Powers: Made all the tools and weapons for the Gods on Mount Olympus.

Both of his legs broke when his mother, Hera, threw him off of Mount Olympus at birth because he was ugly. Important Events: Hera throwing him off Mount Olympus, Aphrodite thought he was ugly so she had an affair with Ares, and he embarrassed Aphrodite and Ares when he caught them. Allusions: Hephaestus matches
