Red Cross Founded in 1881 by Clara Barton. Provides local & international help Relies on donations of time, money & blood. Services Provided: * Provides care to victims of war * Aids victims of natural disasters * Support & comfort for military members & their families). * Collection, processing & distribution of blood products.. * Educational programs that promote health & Safety (CPR and First Aid training), water safety, AIDS …

* Provides two types of assistance after a disaster : 1) Hard- food, shelter, clean-up kits, financial assistance ($ for new clothes, groceries, rent, medicines, home repair,etc). 2) Soft – Guidance, counseling * Provide emergency communications that link military with their families back home; financial assistance.
