My special number 44 44

Why I chose this number I chose this number because number 4 means death in china and I would have chosen 4 but I had to chose a higher number.

Factors and Proper Factors  The factors of 44 is 1,2,4,11,22,44.  The Proper factors of 44 are2,4,11,22.

Multiples The multiples of 44 are 44,88,132 etc. The multiples of 44 are 44,88,132 etc.

Prime or Composite My number is a composite number because 44 is divisible by:1*44, 2*22, 4*11

Factor My number is not a good first move in the factor game because will only lead by =39

product game  My number would be a good first move because it is in the middle of the board.

Abundant & Deficient My number isn’t abundant because the proper factors only make 18. My number is a deficient number because the proper factors are 2,4,11,22 only make up 39.

Perfect & near perfect My number is not perfect because the proper factors make 39. My number is not “near perfect” because the proper factors make 39 and for my number to be “near perfect” the difference between the two has to be 1.

Factor pairs 1*4444*12*2222*24*1111*4

Even or Odd My number is even because 44 is divisible by 2.

Prime factorization 44 2 * 22 2 * 11 * 2 The prime factorization of 44 is 2*2*11

Glossary Factors: one of two or more whole numbers that are multiplied to get a product. Proper factors: all the factors of a number not including 1 and itself. Multiples: The product of a whole number and another whole number.

Glossary Prime: a number with only two factors 1 and itself. Composite: a whole number with more than 2 factors. Abundant: A number for which the sum off all the proper factors is greater than the number itself.

Glossary Deficient: A number which the sum off all the proper factors are less than number itself. Perfect: A number which the sum of the proper factors is the same as the number itself. Near perfect: A number which the proper factors difference is one than the number itself.

Glossary Factor pairs: Two whole numbers that are multiplied to get a product. Odd: A whole number that is not divisible by 2. Even: A multiple of 2 Prime factorization: A product of prime numbers
