Geometro

Geometro models are flat plastic shapes that can be readily joined to form three-dimensional solids. The pieces use hook/loop material to adhere to each other and are easy to handle, sturdy, and safe. Students learn how to: Build increasingly complex two- and three- dimensional shapes Describe attributes and parts of two- and three- dimensional shapes Explore nets that can be folded to form pyramids and prisms Learn elements of spatial symmetry Demonstrate rotations and mirror symmetry

Number Line Device

The number line is a basic tool for teaching number concepts, number sequence, counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rounding, estimating whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. It consists of three parts: a blue plastic base with storage compartment for number lines and pegs, 15 interchangeable number line segments in large print and braille, and 40 plastic cylinders/pegs with an arrow formation on one end that may be used to graph lines and rays.

Quick Pick Math

This is a fun and challenging flash card game that provides a unique play format for students who are visually impaired and blind. Each Quick Pick title consists of a set of cards packaged in one or more plastic cases and includes a wooden tool. Each game card presents a question or other challenge with four possible answers. The student reads the card while it is still in the case. To play, the player chooses an answer by inserting the wooden tool in one of four holes in the front of the case. If the answer is correct, the card will slide out. If incorrect, the card will not pull out, and the player should try again. The object is to Quick Pick as many cards as possible on the first try.

Math Flash

Animated characters help make mathematics fun with these self-voicing electronic flash cards. Math Flash™ software helps elementary students sharpen math skills with talking electronic flash cards. This self-voicing program uses the computer's sound card to communicate instructions, drills, practice sessions, and games. Students can select their favorite fun Math Mentor character. Teachers can modify the number of problems, degree of difficulty, and insert custom problems.

Venn Diagram Template Kit

This kit includes 15 sheets with two-circle diagrams and 15 sheets with three-circle diagrams, sized to allow for braille labeling in all sections and in the outer margins. The outlines of the circles are made in contrasting lines styles so they are easily distinguishable, both visually and tactually. These heavy, consumable sheets may be tooled directly or used in a braillewriter. Includes 30 sheets total measuring 11.5 x 11 inches.

Talking Graphing Calculator

The Orion TI-84 Plus Talking Graphing Calculator is a modified TI-84 Plus with a small attachment that adds accessibility and additional controls. APH partnered with Orbit Research ® and Texas Instruments ® to make this powerful calculator accessible. This calculator is available for purchase with Federal Quota funds!

Can you think of any students who would benefit from any of these APH math products?
