 Distance – around 2,228 miles from Columbus, Ohio to San Diego, California.  Ohio State University is located in Ohio’s capital, Columbus, located along the edge of the Scioto River. The city is very urban and includes one of the top 10 zoos in the United States, restaurants, shops, outlets and malls.

 Total Enrollment: 64,077  Physical size of campus: 1,700+ acres and 457 buildings.

 Co-ed  There is no religious affiliation, and the UIA (University Interfaith Association) provides opportunities for students, faculty and staff to grow according to their own preferences and beliefs.  Size of nearest city – Located in Columbus, Ohio’s capital and biggest city (212.6 sq mi), with a population of 787,033  Football fans

 Campus housing is available to first-year and upper-class students.  Types and Size:  Residence halls: two-person rooms and a limited number of singles, triples and quads.  Suites house three or four people and have a study room and bath, and some are in clusters of four suites.  All on-campus students are required to choose a meal plan:  Unlimited ($2650p/s); 45O-Block ($2175p/s); 60O-Block ($2550p/s); Traditional ($1850p/s).

 Academic:  Library ranked #12 on top 22 university libraries in nation.  Recreational:  5 sports facilities, including indoor rock climbing and an ice rink (membership required)  Over 70 acres of outdoor activity space  other sports clubs

 Athletics: Football, baseball, basketball, X-C, fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hokey, lacrosse, pistol, rifle soccer, spirit program, swimming & diving, tennis, track & field, volleyball, wrestling, field hockey, and rowing.  Marching Band and Athletic Band  Clubs: All clubs are created and run by the 4- H Youth Development program and are focused on agriculture, business, community, environment, family, garden, health and youth.

 Reservations offered weekly and on weekends  Required in advance (2 weeks)  2.5 hours long  teaches about campus facilities and admission process
