“By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the people had marched around them for seven days.”

But Joshua told them that God had told him how they were to do it. What would you have said about this plan?

Remember who these people are, and what they had already seen God do.

Have you ever asked why they had to circle the city so many times?

verse 2, “See, I have given Jericho into your hand, its king and the mighty men of valor.” This allowed them to fight FROM victory. That is what God is telling Ridgecrest.

There are some key actions from the book of Joshua that we need to do in order for Ridgecrest to impact our world.

Put God in charge. And Joshua said to the people, “Give yourselves to the service of God for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” Joshua 3:5

Step out by faith “every place the sole of your foot walks upon” (Joshua 1:3)

“And as soon as the priests who carry the ark of the LORD--the Lord of all the earth--set foot in the Jordan, its waters flowing downstream will be cut off and stand up in a heap.” (Joshua 3:13)

Meditate on God’s Word “meditate therein day and night” (Joshua 1:8)

“be strong and of good courage; be not afraid...God is with you.” (Joshua 1:9) Don’t be afraid God is with US!

Be patient. God had them circle the walls 13 times!

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.

Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:2-4

Have a fresh encounter with Christ “Joshua fell on his face and did worship” (Joshua 5:14)

Trust God for a miracle “shout with a great shout and the wall of the city will fall down flat” (Joshua 6:5)

But remember that the victory is ALREADY ours! If we will UNITE around His will for our church then we can be a great spiritual impact around the world for the cause of Christ!
