The meaning of the sign and the English word may not be the same. fs-fs-BOB fs-COKE “fs-” represents a fingerspelled word ##ALL #DO++ A pound sign (#) indicates a lexicalized sign. -OLD-1 LOOK-AT OPEN-DOOR When the sign glosses are separated by a hyphen, they represent a single sign. +MOTHER+FATHER TIME+4 A plus sign between the sign glosses is used for both compound signs and contractions.
