 The Water Cycle Page 101

The Water Cycle -include the following terms on your water cycle poster!  Hydrosphere - all the waters on Earth  Evaporation - change of matter from a liquid to a gas state  Condensation - change of matter from a gas to a liquid state  Precipitation - rain, snow, sleet or hail that falls to the ground  Transpiration - giving off of moisture through the surface of leaves or other plant parts  Groundwater - water that collects and flows under ground  Runoff - water that runs along the surface of land into a body of water

Sample Picture of the Water Cycle

Water Cycle Poster  Create a poster of the water cycle. Be sure to include a title and define the 7 vocabulary words. The words can be defined on the front of the poster or on the back, that is up to you.  Each step of the cycle should be represented, except for the hydrosphere.  Use arrows to show the movement of water throughout the cycle.  Project should show attention to details.
