What is Compost? We found out… Compost includes vegetable and fruit scraps, old newspapers, garden pruning and grass clippings. Compost and soil are full of living things. There are a lot more microorganisms living in a teaspoonful of soil than there are people on our planet Half of the food scraps we throw away into the rubbish bin is food and garden vegetation 2
