 Graduands must arrive at (a) Morning session : 7.30am sharp (b) Afternoon Session : 1.30pm sharp  Gather at Block C, Level 2 (Classrooms)  Each faculty and course will be gathered in different classroom  There will be signage for directions *STRICTLY ONLY GRADUANDS and STAFF are allowed on the 2 nd floor.  Registration & robing  You will be given a name card during registration. Please keep it safe as this will be your seating number.  Abide by the instructions by the respective Faculty/ Programme Administrator.  Make toilet visit before entering the ceremonial hall. 2

To note prior entering the Ceremonial Hall:  Once in Hall  toilet visits will be restricted.  Minimum baggage  NO handbags, cameras, handphones, flowers, umbrellas, make-up kits, etc. 3

 Dress Code  Graduands: Formal Attire Male: Long sleeve button shirt with trousers/slacks and tie Female: Blouse/shirt with knee length skirt/pants or knee length dress  Guests: Formal attire: Strictly NO T-shirts, jeans, sandals or slippers.  Invitation Card  Please remind your guests to bring along their invitation cards to the Convocation as entry into the hall will be by presentation of invitation cards. Guests without an invitation card will be denied admission into ceremonial hall. As the proceedings are formal in nature, children under the age of twelve (12) are regrettably not permitted to enter the ceremonial hall. 9

 Parking Due to limited parking lots at the UCSI South Wing campus, graduands and guests are strongly encouraged to park at the following places:  Public parking at commercial business shop lots in the vicinity of UCSI University (South Wing)  UCSI University – North Wing (shuttle bus service will be provided)  Parking at Giant Hypermarket (shuttle bus service will be provided) Between the morning & afternoon sessions, traffic congestion is highly expected and unavoidable. Therefore, graduands and guests attending the morning ceremony are strongly advised to park at UCSI University (North Wing) and take the shuttle bus to South Wing for the ceremony. If you are parking in South Wing, you are requested to leave the University compound by 1:00pm to enable smooth traffic flow after the ceremony. 10

 Line up at corridor at about Morning Session: 7.45am – 8.00am Afternoon Session : 1.45pm – 2.00pm  While in line, DO NOT  Stand out of queue  Take photos  Talk loudly  Walk away (even to the toilet)  No ‘kidnapping / hijacking’ by parents  Group photography will be at Level 3  Morning session: 8.00am sharp Afternoon session: 2.00pm sharp  Please cooperate with the photographers and administrators to make this a smooth session  Please come early. Late comers will NOT be included in the group photo and can be denied entry into the hall 11

 You will be stationed at the stairs exit after the photography session.  Wait at the stairs exit until indicated to walk in.  While waiting, be quiet and still.  While walking:  Keep calm and walk step-by-step  Regimented steps (not fast, not slow)  Do not chit-chat & leave gaps  Maintain dignity  don’t trip, fall etc  Remain solemn and somber but joyful atmosphere  There will be 2 rows marching in concurrently:  One row will turn to seats labeled A – G  One row will turn to seats labeled H – N 12

 Ceremony is deemed started when graduands marched into the hall  Do not twist & turn to look for family members, friends etc  Turn to your respective rows upon reaching your row 13

 Arise when announcement is made to signify the entry of stage party (3 Groups).  After the 3 groups have marched in, remain standing for the national anthem to be played. 14

 Be still and remain seated throughout the speeches  When awards conferment begins:  You will be guided to line up by convocation staff located near you. 15

Instructions to students and guests:  No “kidnapping / hijacking” by parents.  No applause, shouting.  No photograph taking.  Pass your name card to the designated staff at the head of the line.  Walk briskly onto the stage (on the left).  Official photographers will be stationed near the stage.  Receive the scroll from Chancellor (at the centre of the stage) and shake hands.  Walk down from the stage (on the right) to collect your certificate.  Silently walk back to your seat. DO NOT stop to look at your certificate. 16
