Eight Intelligences Linguistic Intelligence: A sensitivity to the spoken and written word, to learn languages, and to exploit them to accomplish specific goals. Eight Intelligences Logical-Mathematical Intelligence: Ability in mathematics and other complex logical systems. Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence: The ability to use one’s body in a skilled way, for self- expression or toward a goal. Spatial Intelligence: To perceive the visual world accurately, and recreate or alter it in the mind or on paper.
Eight Intelligences Cont’d Interpersonal Intelligence: an ability to perceive and understand other individuals. Intrapersonal Intelligence: an understanding of one’s own emotions. Musical Intelligence: the ability to understand and create music.
Technology Linguistic- Programs involving reading, writing, and editing; Example: ‘Muppet Slate’ and ‘Pine Artist and Creative Writing’ Logical and Mathematical- Programs dealing with teaching logic and critical thinking skills; Example: ‘Millie’s Mathhouse’ and ‘Math N’ More’
Technology Cont’d Visual- Programs using graphics and creativity and visual skills like 3D software, and spreadsheets with graphs and charts; Example: ‘SuperPaint’ Musical- Programs dealing with music composition, sing-alongs, and musical videos; Example: ‘Band in a Box’, ‘Music Studio’
Technology Cont’d Bodily and Kinesthetic- Dance programs that incorporate movement with learning, animation games, and video games that use a joy stick; Example: ‘Science Toolkit’ Naturalist- Programs that incorporate the outdoors with what students are learning indoors; Example: ‘Wireless Coyote’
