New Creatures In Christ

We All Like New Things People like things that are new: car, house, job Why? The quality is new and the relationship is new Christians have a new beginning (Jn. 3:5; 2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 6:15)

New Creatures in Christ We have a new position… “if any man is be in Christ…”  A new fellowship (Rom. 5:10; 1 Jn. 1:3ff)  A new family (Gal. 3:26-27; Eph. 2:15; Tit. 2:14)  A new home and hope (2 Tim. 4:8; Tit. 1:2; 1 Pet. 1:4; 2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21:1-5)

New Creatures in Christ We have a new character… “he is a new creature…”  A new creation (Jas. 1:18)  A new purpose (1 Cor. 6:20; Gal. 2:20; Phil. 3:7-14; 1 Thess. 1:10)  A new outlook, attitude, values and aim (Mt. 6:19,33; 10:37; Col. 3:1; Jas. 4:13-15; 1 Jn. 2:15)

We Must Keep the New … New Do we work to keep new things new? The old can come back if we are not careful (1 Cor. 5:7; Eph. 4:22ff; Col. 3:5ff)  Make the effort  Avoid what is “old” and comfortable  Keep “renewing” the mind (Rom. 12:2)
