Sky: Most people eat three times a day - at least most children do because their parents handle the meal schedule. Adults may eat three times a day depending on their lifestyle - people who work from home probably do eat three times a day. People who have to get up extremely early may miss breakfast unless they grab a convenient breakfast on the way to work. Many Americans find themselves too busy to eat breakfast, or else they grab fast food or coffee for breakfast. Jesse : No I don’t think so, because most of the American people are too busy.

Kathleen: This is hard to say. Many American like fast food because it can save time and money. Germana: Americans like to eat both. Fast food because they are probably too busy to make dinner and others just into health food.

Robert: Americans who are concerned about their health or read the news probably know that the average American diet is not very healthy. Some very busy people may know that their eating habits are unhealthy but are too busy or have no time to do anything about it. Wendy: We look at how much nutrition in the meal.

Junior: Yes all Americans snack at both home and work and it depends on how much they had to eat and how much they eat and how stressed they are. Sky: Snacks food are usually made to taste good. Many Americans eat snacks at home. They may also eat snacks at wo rk.

Robert: It's hard to say. Many Americans don't eat breakfast, which is not good - breakfast is the most important meal of the day. People who have to get to work early often grab a junk food breakfast - pastries and coffee, donuts... American breakfast that is not fast food can still be fairly heavy, since traditional American breakfast items include pancakes, bacon and eggs, sausage, biscuits, grits - lots of meat and starch, and often no vegetables, although healthier breakfasts may include fruit. Germana : Most Americans don’t eat breakfast, but those that do, mostly eat bagels or oatmeal.

Kathleen: yes, ham is a tradition dish for thanksgiving and Christmas. Wendy: Yes like thanksgiving that we eat turkey and pumpkin pie.

Robert : Lots of “American” foods trace their heritage back to other cultures. Pizza is Italian. Waffles and pancakes are European in origin. Beer is often German- although most mass-produce commercial beers are American. Kathleen: Pasta is Italian, roast duck is Chinees, Pizza is Italian, sushi is Japanees.

Germana : Americans love apple pies and usually you can find cinnamon in that and they use basic Italian herbs too. Junior: Everything. American cooking is a melting pot, just like the culture of the country itself. There is a lot of European and French heritage in American cooking, which is not surprising given American history. American cooking uses a lot of meat, dairy, and grains - corn was grown in America very early in its history, so there are a lot of recipes that use corn or corn flour - like cornbread. Americans don't, however, generally eat a lot of raw meat. Sushi and sashimi were once considered unusual or novelty foods. Americans nowadays also usually don't eat a lot of organ meats, but some communities in the Eastern United States do have recipes that involve offal, like scrapple, brains and eggs, pig or beef testicles, etc.

Sky: Southern barbeque, crab bakes, etc. Jesse: Barbeque, Oven cooking, fried food.

Robert :Water, beer, juice, wine( for dinner), milk and coffee. Wendy: We always drink juice, white wine, soda. Germana: common drinks are probably ice tea or milk and water.
