 During the Civil War ( ) Tubman served as a nurse, scout, and a spy  During that War Tubman free more than 750 slaves  Harriet Tubman was the moat fearless conductor of the undergound raildroad  Harriets skull was fractured with a metalweight by a supervisor  Because of Harriets injury she suffered blackouts

 In her return to Maryland she helped liderate other slaves  After the fugittive slave act it became a crime to help the runaway slaves  She died in Aburn, New York
